Fewer people, better fit
You see a short list of people who already fit your must-haves, not an endless stack to scroll through.
How Vera introductions work
No endless swiping. A short list chosen with your must-haves in mind, a mutual yes, and one thoughtful introduction at a time.
Where this stands. Vera is in an early-access alpha. Introductions are the next step, and they will start in the Houston, Texas area. This page explains how they are designed to work. Profile websites, letters and connections are available to invited members today.

The short version
You see a short list of people who already fit your must-haves, not an endless stack to scroll through.
You are introduced only when you both said you are interested. No message that goes unanswered, no wondering.
One round a week. Time to think, and a real person at the other end, not a feed that never ends.
A week on Vera
It takes about five minutes a week. Skip a week whenever you like.
Why a mutual yes matters
On most apps you can send hope into the void. Here, an introduction means the other person already said they are interested in you too.
Why it feels better when you’re serious
Casual browsing and serious courtship are different goals. Here is how Vera is designed to protect the second one.
If you need the same things in life (family, faith, location, age range), people who want something very different never appear on your list. You don’t spend time on conversations that could not work.
Members say what they are looking for, in their own words. There is no guessing whether someone wants a relationship or a pastime.
A short list makes it easier to read a profile properly. Studies of choice find that too many options make people more critical and less satisfied.
No paid boosts, no paid likes, no paying to be shown first. The same rules apply to everyone, and Vera does not earn more when you stay longer.
We won’t put a “compatibility percentage” on a person. A number can’t tell you who you will get along with, and it can make people feel judged.
We plan a simple way to say “thank you, not a fit” and expect people to answer introductions. Going quiet again and again will have gentle consequences, so people who are serious are not left waiting. Read our standards.

Honest expectations
Some weeks you will not be introduced to anyone. That is normal, especially while Vera is small. We would rather tell you so than keep you scrolling.
An introduction is a beginning. It is not a promise. Meeting, and getting to know someone slowly, is still up to the two of you.
It starts small. We will begin in the Houston area and grow only when there are enough members for the introductions to be good.
Questions
You mark each person on your list as very interested, interested, or not for me. It takes a few minutes. Anyone you don’t mark is treated as not for me.
No. Answers are private. Only a mutual yes leads to an introduction, and nobody is told who passed.
You stay in for the next round. Nothing is lost, and you can change your answers.
Vera is for people looking for a committed relationship that may lead to marriage. Members say what they are looking for, and that shapes who you are shown.
Yes. Profile websites, connections and letters stay available to invited members. Introductions are an additional, calmer path.
You decide what is public and what is private. On Vera’s public pages we use a nickname by default, not your real name.
Ready when you are
College students only for now, because our resources are limited. Students at US colleges and universities are invited right away; every other request is pending approval, and we will email an invitation to your .edu address as places open. Nothing else is sent to your address.
