Vera is an early concept exploring whether thoughtful profiles can make online introductions more sincere. It is not a launched matchmaking service, and its proposed LinkedIn verification is not active.
My reasons
Why I'm building Vera
Dating apps made it easy to meet lots of people and strangely hard to meet one. I'd rather try building something better than keep complaining about it. So Vera works like this: a short list each week, an introduction only when both people say yes, no paid boosts, and a small personal website in place of a profile card.
I wrote all of it down in a letter: what bothers me about dating today, how the matching is meant to work, and why I think it could change things. You can read it as a scroll or flip through it page by page.
